The leather is supple and it is shipped packaged in such a way as to not damage or crease the leather. The zipper is top notch and should last basically the life of the case and then some. The wool felt lining is very soft as well and I have no worries abiut scratches on the finish of my laptop from this case. Overall, it's a very nice product that mostly does what it is designed to do. I bought it for my Dell XPS 15 9510 and it fits it well. The stitching, materials, and overall design (with some exceptions) and quality of the craftsmanship are superb. It's is a very nice product but for a couple of quibbles.On to the quibbles. The price is rather steep for what you get. The form exceeds the function, unfortunately. That isn't to downplay the obvious quality of the case, but as something that is supposed to provide protection to a device that costs thousands of dollars, I would expect a little more at this price point. There are no reinforcements of padding/cushion at the corners, and there are no solid panels within the sides of this to prevent a blow from denting an aluminum chassis such as the models this is designed for. Even my $30 Acme Made sleeve has hard(ish) panels sewn into the sides of it to provide that added piece of protection. This case lacks that and if I'm not carrying the laptop in another bag I do not feel 100% safe using it solo. Again, at this price point one shouldn't need to be worried about this.But those two things, along with the high price (which, given the luxery materials I wouldn't balk at so much if the two issues mentioned were adequately addressed), leave an otherwise excellent product just a little wanting. I tend to take my laptop with me when I travel and when having to take it out at airports, carry it without a bag from time to time, etc. I would really rather have that peace of mind knowing that the laptop was fully protected from all sides.You're mileage may vary. I ultimately ended up keeping it as it is quite a nice product, but I'm also keeping my Acme Made for times I need to pack it in a non-laptoo configured bag, travel through airports, or carry it solo. It's just not quite rhere yet in that regard, which is too bad because I love the leather and felt construction otherwise.
